You may submit up to 3 photographs.
Photos must be submitted in .jpeg .gif or .jpg format edited for SRGB color at least 2000 pixels wide and no larger than 10 MB.
You must complete separate entries for each photo submitted. Only one contestant per email address.
High quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable.
Eligibility: Photos must have been taken since 2020. Subject of the photo must be of or pertaining to Cape Meares Lighthouse and Scenic Viewpoint. Contestant certifies by their entry that they are the sole creator and copyright owner of the photograph.
Photos may be cropped, minor adjustments such as: slight color adjustments, conversion to grayscale, removal of dust and scratches, sharpening, contrast, or toning. Objects may not be added to or subtracted from images. If judges determine a photo has been altered past the point of best practices, they reserve the right to disqualify it.
Photos in which a person or artistic work is recognizable must provide a model or art release form as applicable.
Ethical considerations: by entering the contest entrants certify no people, wildlife, property, or the environment were harmed in the creation of this photograph.
If the entrant is unable to provide all required releases, the judges reserve the right to disqualify the submission.
Photos must be taken in accordance with federal, state, park, and local laws.
OPRD and FCML employees may only enter photos taken during personal time, not while on duty.
Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible.
Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by the judges are ineligible for this contest
Winners should be prepared to provide an original unedited digital file, print, or negative upon request.
FCML may collect a photograph’s metadata upon entry.
You retain your rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, you grant Friends of Cape Meares Lighthouse a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising and promotion of FCML and its website, exhibition, and commercial products (this includes any sales of products utilizing the photograph), Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible. Friends of Cape Meares Lighthouse will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.
